Visa to Uganda for citizens of USA

Entry is not allowed without prior visa

Before traveling to Uganda, U.S. citizens are required to have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity and at least 1 blank page for entry stamp. A tourist visa is also required and must be obtained in advance through the Government of Uganda's Electronic Visa/Permit Application System website. Additionally, all travelers must have a valid yellow fever immunization card. There are no currency restrictions for entry or exit. It is important to note that visa overstays may result in fines and/or detention, and working without a valid permit is not allowed.
