Visa to Australia for citizens of USA

Entry is not allowed without prior visa

To enter Australia, you must have a valid passport and either a visa or an approved Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). Most U.S. passport holders can obtain an ETA for tourism or business purposes for stays of less than 90 days. Overstaying your visa or ETA may result in exclusion, detention, and removal. If you have a valid U.S. ePassport and are 16 years or older, you can use Australia's automated border processing system, SmartGate. Some HIV/AIDS entry restrictions exist, and depending on your visa type and intended activities, you may need to undergo a medical examination. It is recommended to verify this information with the Embassy of Australia before traveling.
