To enter Mongolia, you need a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of entry. You also need to have at least one blank page in your passport for stamping. A tourist visa is not required for stays of fewer than 90 days, but all visitors must register with Mongolian Immigration within 48 hours of arrival. There are no specific vaccination requirements for entry. However, Mongolian law requires travelers to declare any cash, financial instruments, or cryptocurrency equal to or greater than 15 million Mongolian tugrik (MNT) upon entry and exit from the country. If you plan to stay in Mongolia for more than 90 days or for work, study, or residence purposes, you must apply for a visa before departing the United States. Minors traveling with guardians who are not their parents must have a signed, notarized letter from at least one parent authorizing their travel.
