Entry is allowed without prior visa

Section 112 of the Immigration Act 2006 provides that a person who is not a citizen of the Republic may enter only if they hold a visa or are exempt from the requirement to hold a visa. Section 113 of the Immigration Act 2006 exempts citizens of the United States, Palau and the Federated States of Micronesia from the requirement to hold a visa to enter the Republic. Exempt persons remain subject to immigration clearance procedures upon arrival and departure and may be refused entry if ineligible for an entry permit under section 114.
