Visa to Belarus for citizens of USA
Entry is not allowed without prior visa
To travel to Belarus, you must have a valid passport with at least three months validity beyond your scheduled departure date. Additionally, you need to have two blank passport pages when presenting your passport to Belarusian immigration authorities. If you plan to stay in Belarus for more than 30 calendar days, or if you enter or exit at border crossings other than Minsk Airport, or if you travel directly to or from the Russian Federation, you will need a tourist visa. There are no specific vaccination requirements for entry. However, you must comply with currency restrictions, which require you to have USD $10,000 for both entry and exit. If you are a U.S. passport holder traveling to Belarus via Minsk International Airport, you can enter visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism or business purposes. To qualify for visa-free travel, you must enter and exit Belarus via Minsk International Airport, arrive from and depart to any country other than the Russian Federation, show evidence of finances equivalent to 25 Euros for each day of stay, and have a medical insurance policy with at least 10,000 Euros of coverage valid throughout Belarus. If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, you must obtain a visa before traveling or face administrative action. It is important to register with the local office of the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Ministry of Interior within five business days of arrival if you are staying in Belarus for more than five days. Failure to register or staying longer than 30 days can result in administrative action. When transiting a Schengen country, your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your period of stay, and you will need proof of funds and a return airline ticket. There are no known HIV/AIDS entry restrictions for visitors on a 30-day visit, but long-term residents or students must obtain an HIV/AIDS test in Belarus.
